We are currently looking for adedicated and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our HR team to oversee end-to-end payroll processing, maintain accurate employee records and provide expert guidance on payroll-related matters in the ANZ region.

Based in Sydney CBD office, key responsibilties includes:

  • Manage end-to-end high-volume payroll processing for office and retail employees, including full-time, part-time and casual staff.
  • Ensure all deadlines are met, and accurate payment of wages, superannuation and payroll tax
  • Ensure compliance with award rates, overtime, penalty rates, annual leave and sick leave provision and allowances in accordance with General Retail Industry Award & Storage Services and Wholesale Award
  • Processing company employment changes, including new hires, terminations, position changes, salary changes and intercompany transfers
  • Completing analytical checks and balances within the Time and Attendance and Payroll systems
  • Collaborate with the finance team for month-end reconciliations and audits and assist with payroll reporting, including year-end.
  • Be up to date with current legislation requirements for terminations and other payroll related calculations.
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax, superannuation and other statutory reports.
  • Update and maintain pay records, associated timekeeping data and statistics, leave records and related information
  • Manage any payroll related queries coming from staff to head office
  • Assist with the implementation of new processes.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of payroll experience, preferably in the retail industry.
  • Must have prior experience and good knowledge of General Retail Industry Award 2020 and Storage Services and Wholesale Award 2020
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and any payroll softwares
  • Strong knowledge of Australia and New Zealand payroll legislation, tax laws, and superannuation guarantee legislation and regulations
  • High sense of urgency balanced with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to exercise discretion and contain highly confidential information within Payroll
  • Ability to display flexibility in adapting to fast-paced environment and reset priorities based on business needs
  • Good communication skill with proficient in both written & verbal.
