THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Electrical Engineer to join our high performing team based in Sydney, NSW. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and motivated individual to be at the forefront of emerging technologies in electrification of the mining and infrastructure industries. This is a permanent full-time role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively promote and ensure workplace health and safety compliance.
- Contribute your electrical design proficiency to projects of both singular and multi-disciplinary nature, offering your expert guidance to ensure their success.
- Play a key role in advancing the business unit's growth in alignment with strategic objectives.
- Take the lead and collaborate to provide high-quality engineering deliverables.
- Provision support for installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
- Apply a working knowledge of relevant legislation and engineering standards.
- Effective communication between internal and external stakeholders, clients, and staff.
- Ability to mentor/train junior engineers.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree qualified and minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Proficiency in Control PLC & SCADA / HMI.
- Experience in designing power generation, HV/LV systems, protection and control systems / studies.
- Experience in designing and modelling power system projects
- Experience in the mining and infrastructure sectors
- Proven experience in performing detailed engineering design work, technical reporting, and development of technical standards or guidelines
DESIRABLE:
- Engineers Australia Chartered Professional Engineer. (MIEAust CPEng NER)
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) or Victoria (RPEV) or eligible.
