Brake Press Operator

Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Brake Press Operator to join our Client's team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating brake presses with stainless steel and aluminium, ensuring high-quality precision and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities:

• Operate brake presses to form components according to specifications
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders
• Set up and adjust brake press machines to produce precise cuts and bends
• Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to ensure quality production
• Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications
• Maintain and clean equipment to ensure smooth operation and prevent malfunctions
• Collaborate with production teams to meet daily production goals and deadlines
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during production to minimize downtime

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Brake Press Operator, particularly with stainless steel and aluminium
• Strong understanding of metalworking, brake press operation, and machine maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with a variety of brake press machines
• Ability to set up and adjust machines independently
• Trade qualification or relevant certification is a plus
