Workshop Materials & Parts Co-Ordinator
Role Description
Smetec Services is looking for an enthusiastic workshop materials & parts coordinator for a dynamic workshop environment, where each day is varied.
The job would include material handling and inventories, assisting CNC Operators loading and unloading materials on and off machines. Materials and Parts Control including receiving, packaging, labelling and dispatching goods and other logistic requirements.
Smetec Services is a family owned and operated business in the Shoalhaven involved with National/International projects. You will require a diverse range of skills and abilities for an ever-changing and challenging environment.
Smetec Services Operates a 9 Day Fortnight.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The position of Workshop Materials & Parts Co-Ordinator will work closely with the Smetec team. The position is a hands-on, proactive position that will see the successful candidate learn new skills and become a valued member of the team with scope for growth and job progression.
Specific Duties include but are not limited to:
- Managing computerised Materials Inventory & Parts system. (Training to be provided)
- Sorting and reading materials for production tasks.
- Loading/unloading CNC Machines.
- Handling of Production Parts, including storing, labelling & packaging.
- Forklift driving, including handling outgoing and incoming goods requirements, unloading and loading trucks.
- Other tasks relevant to the position as directed by Supervisor/Manager.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
To Be Successful in this Role you will need:
- Previous experience in logistics/inventory management desirable.
- Previous Manufacturing environment experience desirable.
- Forklift License or must be willing to obtain onsite.
- Driver’s License.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to follow Instructions and work with ISO9001 Quality systems.
- A willingness to learn new skills and/or undertake training.
- Punctuality, reliability, and ability to work unsupervised.
- Physically fit.
- Team Player.
- Attention to detail and numeracy skills.
- Undertake a Police background check & National Security checks.
