The C.ex Group is seeking an energetic creative person with experience to fill the Sales & Events Co-Ordinator position. The successful person will have experience in function operation and or sales background, however graduates who are wanting to learn more are encouraged to apply. The position also has further education opportunities available.
This position requires flexibility with scheduling, including early starts, late finishes, and availability on both weekdays and weekends.

The role is an active position that requires the successful applicant to.
Be an inclusive team member contributing to the overall business outcomes.Identify and develop new profitable business opportunities.Manage existing clients and client retention.Deliver timely information to operational teams.Be the primary contact for operational teams to deliver on our promise.Work within budgets and tight time schedules.Focus on high payoff activities/opportunities through income and cost analysis.Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.Be a team player in communication across multiple teams.Supervise and assist in the set-up and delivery of events as part of the operational team, taking responsibility for the standard of service throughout.Assist, collaborate and develop packages and upselling opportunities.

Other Duties & Responsibilities Include
Collaborate with clients to understand and determine their requirements and expectations.Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and schedules entering all details into the Event Pro system accurately.Coordinate with all departments (i.e. kitchen, building services etc) to ensure all aspects of the event are prepared for and delivered as required by the client.Provide regular updates and address any concerns or changes in client plans to all concerned.Handle any issues or discrepancies with vendors, suppliers, clients or staff throughout touch points of events.Organise event “run sheets” for all departments to discuss at a weekly meeting.Act as the primary point of contact for clients before, during and after the event.Collaborate and communicate event staff requirements with the rostering team ensuring efficiencies.Conduct site visits and meet and greets for corporate and social clients, at times out of usual working hours, handing over all details for the event if necessary.Assist with department reporting, procurement and tasks related to the overall smooth running of the event department.Ensure clients are provided invoices for events, processing of event payments and following up event paymentsCollect and communicate feedback from clients’ post-event, to enhance the experience for future clients.Ensure all events comply with health, safety and legal regulations.Arrange for all necessary contractors' licenses and permits to be received and recorded.Implement innovative ideas to enhance sales and the event experience.Continuously seek feedback and improve event processes and offerings as well as self-development.Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
Skills/experience
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Strong interpersonal skills for client interactions and team collaboration.Ability to manage multiple events and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment whilst keeping a calm demeanour.Strong attention to detail and time management skills.Background in functions and event operations, desirableAbility to identify and pursue business opportunities.Ability to address client needs and resolve issues promptly.Experience in using technology and event-specific software (Events Pro, Visio/Event Draw)Basic knowledge of AV equipment and technology used in events.Experience in tracking expenses and ensuring financial efficiency.Ability to negotiate contracts, prices, terms and conditions etc. and maintain positive relationships. Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate and Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) certificate.
Remuneration will depend on experience and fall between $65,000 to $80,000 not including penalties or superannuation.
