Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, responsible, and creative Part-Time Contractor Florist. In this role, you will be responsible for opening and closing the store, organising deliveries, and crafting stunning flower arrangements either from our catalogue or based on specific customer requests. This opportunity is ideal for someone with previous floral design experience, including retired florists looking to share their expertise on a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Operations:
- Open and close the store according to the published shop hours.
- Ensure that the store is secure and maintained in a clean, organised manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls and take phone, email, web and walk-in orders.
Floral Design:
- Create beautiful flower arrangements following catalogue designs or customised to meet specific customer requirements.
- Maintain a high level of creativity and attention to detail in every arrangement.
Delivery Coordination:
- Organise and manage the delivery of orders to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Coordinate with delivery driver to maintain smooth operations.
General Duties:
- Keep inventory organised.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and needs in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a florist is required.
- Demonstrated ability to create appealing and innovative floral arrangements.
- Excellent organisational skills with a responsible attitude towards opening/closing store duties and coordinating deliveries.
- Strong time management and reliability, with the ability to work 10+ hours per week including mandatory
- Strong customer service skills
- Saturday shifts (minimum 6 hours).
- A passion for flowers and a keen eye for design.
- Suitable for a retired florist or anyone with extensive experience in the field.
