Sedgman are seeking a skilled NDT Technician to join their team in Mackay.
This crucial role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the continued NDT services to our valued client sites across the Bowen Basin.
Join our close-knit team in Paget, managing daily customer schedules in the Mackay Industrial precinct and Bowen Basin mine sites. Occasional site travel is required, with a vehicle provided.

Primary Duties:
Develop inspection work scopes, incorporating any necessary Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), and conduct a thorough review of equipment history.
Perform inspections on pressure equipment, which includes boilers, vessels, piping, storage tanks, and related machinery, ensuring adherence to the relevant code and client requirements.
Utilise diverse testing methods (ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant testing, and visual inspection) to identify defects, irregularities, and vulnerabilities in materials and components without causing damage, ensuring thorough quality assessment.
Ensure that products and systems meet the highest safety and quality standards through precise testing and inspection processes.
Prepare comprehensive, client reports for inspections conducted on the equipment, ensuring alignment with the applicable code and regulations.

NDT Certified
Capable of self-directed, efficient, and high-quality work.
Proven expertise in current legislation, codes, and standards for in-service inspection of pressure systems, plant, and equipment, with recent hands-on experience.
