We do more than collect the bin from your street, we also convert waste into clean energy, divert food waste from landfill and convert to compost, manufacture customised waste management equipment, asbestos removal, refine and recycle oil, manage and maintain our fleet inhouse and have our own bespoke technology systems.
Our teams include Drivers/Operators, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, IT/Digital, Environment, Engineering, Industrial Chemists, Safety, Administration and much more. . .

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Branch Manager for our Far North Queensland Region of Operations.
Lead our team across a large geographical area from our Cairns depot, incorporating areas such as Innisfail, Cairns, Mareeba, The Tablelands, Port Douglas. Full responsibility for operations, sales, administration, and workshop teams.
This role calls for a ‘hands-on’ leader who is driven to succeed through team engagement and an understanding of principles that underpin excellence in transport operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the businessOversee and interact with the senior-management team to ensure successful service delivery, inclusive of productivity measurements, route scheduling and optimisationThe ability to plan for change, engage with the team and see it through to deliveryDeliver the overall region strategy and drive ongoing improvement initiativesManage all functions across the area of 60+ employees within our Commercial & Council Business Operations including transport/operations, sales, workshop and administrationDrive a high-level safety and customer service cultureSupport and motivate the sales team to achieve growth targetsEnsure compliance with all policies, legal and regulatory requirementsEstablish and manage relations with customers and the publicIdentify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvementStrive for improvement in operations whilst upholding a high level of safety at all times
ABOUT YOU
You will have a sense of urgency, be a natural people leader, with a customer focus and the ability to see the bigger picture; set objectives and deliver results.
In this role you will be responsible for the successful delivery of Commercial & Council related operations, the associated teams and in turn be working with a diverse, modern, high-quality fleet of vehicles, backed up by well-equipped and supported maintenance capabilities.
Experience leading a Transport or FMCG business incorporating drivers, workshop and sales is ideal.
