Description:
Sedgman is currently in the process of recruiting for a Condition Monitoring Technician to join our Reliability team based in Mackay. This role will provide condition monitoring services of fixed plant rotating equipment across the Bowen Basin with regular site travel.
The role will require but not be limited to:
- Collecting, analysing, and reporting Vibration and Thermography data
- Analysing & reporting on oil samples
- Communicating with lubrication technicians to enhance precision lubrication.
- Participating in equipment failure investigations
- Researching and trialling new condition monitoring technologies
About you:
- Practical mechanical or electrical maintenance experience, ideally in CHPP or other processing plants
- An interest in reliability or condition monitoring
- Open C class driver’s licence
- Knowledge of condition monitoring techniques and lubrication principles
- Practical fault-finding skills
- Strong technical analysis skills
- Effective report writing skills
- Advanced MS office experience
Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical or electrical experience on rotating equipment (trade qualification desirable)
- MLA1 and TCAT1 preferred.
- Vibration analyst VCAT2 or ability to upgrade VCAT1 to VCAT 2 within next 6 months.
- QLD Class C driver’s licence, unrestricted (mandatory)
- Practical fault-finding skills, coupled with strong technical analysis & effective report writing skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Computer literate
