About the role
JAE88 Trading is seeking an experienced Truck driver- HC/ Heavy Combination to join our team in Yatala, Queensland. This is a full-time position that will involve operating heavy combination vehicles to transport goods across various locations. All equipment is the latest models and kept in great condition.
What you'll be doing
- Safely operating heavy combination vehicles, including prime movers with semi-trailers, to transport a variety of goods
- Conducting pre-drive and post-drive vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Adhering to all relevant road and transport regulations, including logbook requirements
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of trips, deliveries and vehicle maintenance
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles as required
- Providing excellent customer service and communication with clients and other stakeholders
What we're looking for
- A valid Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence
- Substantial experience (3+ years) operating heavy combination vehicles in a commercial environment
- Strong knowledge of road rules and transport regulations
- Forklift license/Moffett experience highly regarded but not essential
- Willing to obtain fork license and learn Moffett operation
- Excellent driving skills and a commitment to safe driving practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
