Join BallyCara as a Qualified Aged Care Support Worker!
Are you passionate about improving the lives of seniors? BallyCara is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Qualified Aged Care Support Workers.
In this fulfilling role, you'll help seniors maintain their independence and live comfortably in their homes in the Brisbane North region (Shorncliffe, Sandgate, Deagon, etc).
We are looking for someone that has late availability 12:00pm – 8:30 pm and occasional weekends, to service clients with med prompts, meal preparation and afternoon personal cares. Afternoon and weekend shifts available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care, mobility assistance, and help with daily household tasks.
- Offer social support, fostering engagement in community and wellness activities.
- Keep your team leader updated on client needs and progress.
- Assist clients with transportation to appointments and social outings.
- Travel locally between client homes across the Brisbane North region (with paid mileage).
What We're Looking For:
- A minimum of Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Community Services, OR current nursing students who have completed Aged Care placements.
- Previous experience in Aged Care or Community Services.
- Flexibility to work various shifts - have availability for late shifts between 12.00pm - 8.30pm and some weekends.
- Basic computer skills with attention to detail in documentation.
- Ability to work independently, while reporting to a Supervisor.
- Empathy, patience, and a positive outlook on Ageing.
- A current Driver’s License and registered and comprehensively insured reliable vehicle.
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- First Aid and CPR certificates.
- COVID-19 vaccination status x 2.
