  • Deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
  • Develop and maintain productive links within the University and with local, national, and international communities and industries.

What we’re looking for:

  • PhD in a relevant field.
  • Proven research expertise in volcanology, magmatism, and numerical modelling, supported by a strong academic record.
  • Experience in university-level tutoring and learning within the field.
  • Track record of building and maintaining effective networks within the discipline, profession, industry, and wider community.
  • Willingness to participate in ship-based scientific research.
  • A record of (Level A) or demonstrated success (Level B) in securing external funding as a co- or lead-investigator.
  • A contribution to (Level A) or experience (Level B) in teaching experience in undergraduate volcanology.
  • Experience supervising honours, Masters, and/or PhD students (Level B).
