About You
Based at Calvary's Foundation Hospital, Calvary North Adelaide Hospital, this position is a Clinical Education role based in the Perioperative Department. Is is offered as a 0.8 PT Level 3 Clinical Manager. The Clinical Educator Periop is responsible for education the Periop team to deliver safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. In collaboration with the Perioperative Leadership team, the Periop Clinical Educator leads and supports the periop teams in actively providing necessary learning opportunities for staff in using a variety of teaching strategies. This role will support the development and delivery of mandatory training and orientation as well as developing and advancing the skills of experienced teams.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and implementation of education programs to develop staff and build workforce capacitySupporting nursing staff with shoulder to shoulder education Delivery of induction to the Department for new staffSupport new Graduates in collaboration with the graduate coordinator Mandatory training and competency assessments for core skills in keeping with Calvary and NSQHS standards
What You Bring
AHPRA RegistrationMinimum 3 years postgraduate clinical experience in a Perioperative space, scrub scout experience is preferredEvidence of leadership skills, with a positive "Can Do' attitudeAbility to deliver creative, innovative and flexible educationDemonstrated high levels of communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skillsA desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisationPost Graduate Qualification in Perioperative NursingCertificate IV in Training and & Assessment or university education qualification or working towardsARC ALS Instructor is preferred.
