Senior Project Officer - Operational Systems

Description:

Primary Purpose of Role :

The role will work within CFS Operations and work closely with the project manager and stakeholders to successfully deliver and coordinate the Next Generation Operational Systems project – a complex ICT project aimed at replacing the current incident and information management system used by the CFS.

Outcomes:

  • Design, coordinate and control complex projects including planning schedules, milestone tracking and deliverables that contributes to the successful implementation of the Next Generation Operational Systems ICT project and any other projects/programs related to CFS Operations.
  • Develop and deliver project documentation including plans, specifications, budgets, and progress reports to stakeholders such as the project steering committee, working groups and CFS Executive.
  • Prepare and present complex project reports, publications, information bulletins and other related information and material.
  • Provide high level support to steering committee and working groups.
  • Identify, mitigate and resolve project risks and issues in a timely manner, ensuring that project outcomes are delivered according to requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including CFS volunteers and staff, project sponsors, vendors, and end-users to ensure that project objectives are understood and met.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations to the project manager and senior management on project management methodologies, best practices, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and review project-related policies, procedures, and guidelines in collaboration with the SAFECOM Project Management Office, SAFECOM Procurement and CFS Operations staff.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for project innovation and process improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and standards related to project management and procurement in the South Australian Emergency Services Sector.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders and partners to ensure project success and ongoing engagement.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Qualification at AQF Level 5 or above in project management, ICT, change management; or
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in a similar project management role.

Remuneration:
ASO6
$$98,478 - $104,766
