AusIMM is the peak body for professionals in the resources industry, proudly named the 2024 Association of the Year. We are currently seeking an experienced ESG Advisor to evolve AusIMM’s ESG strategy and project manage a range of initiatives to enhance and leverage AusIMMs ESG capability. This role plays a critical part in the AusIMM’s Trusted Voice strategy, overseeing and influencing a range of stakeholders including members, kindred bodies, universities and government.
Key responsibilities and activities include (but are not limited to):
- Supporting and implementing AusIMM ESG Strategy to build our advocacy focus and a more progressive industry.
- Identify, develop and deliver ESG education and/or training partners and initiatives to AusIMM members and the mining industry.
- Advise and manage engagement with AusIMM’s key groups to develop and execute meaningful events.
- Collaborate with members and kindred bodies and other partners to advance the participation and interests of women in the industry.
- Support AusIMM events team in the integration of ESG and support delivery of relevant AusIMM’s events, and evolve online communities of interest (COIs) across a spectrum of ESG themes as relevant.
- Advise on AusIMM’s demonstration of good practice in ESG and deliver AusIMM’s.
- Represent AusIMM at relevant events and external forums along with member and stakeholder engagement.
About You:

Ideally, you will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Environment, Social Performance, Sustainability, ESG, or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in advocacy activities, including developing submissions, building relationships, and understanding government processes.
- Strong writing skills, including composition of external facing communications and a demonstrated track record of producing high standard written material.
- Ability to influence, negotiate and guide decisions, provide advice and lead collaborative projects
- Strong campaign development and implementation experience.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills, negotiation, facilitation, and networking skills.
- Demonstrated Project Management skills.
- Experience in or exposure to the resources sector would be highly valued.
