Our new Grampians Tree Change Package offers you an $8,000 sign-on bonus plus up to $10,000 in relocation assistance to support your move to Victoria. This covers the costs related to your relocation such as travel, freight, temporary housing and storage.

You need to currently live more than 100km from Hopkins and be willing to move within 100km of your new workplace.

Prison officers support the rehabilitation of people in custody and help maintain the safety and security of the facility.

Most people in custody return to the community, and the focus of a prison officer is to create opportunities for them to make better decisions.

It’s a challenging yet rewarding role and is considered one of the best kept secrets in all of Victoria.

About you

Do you have a passion for making a difference in your community and want to work with a diverse range of people? This could be the job for you.

If you’re a good communicator and enjoy achieving positive outcomes, then you have the qualities needed to become a prison officer.

There are no specific qualifications needed, but you must be an Australian or NZ citizen or hold Australian permanent residency. You must also hold an Australian driver’s licence (minimum P2).

✔ Earn up to $88,546 with a base salary of $61,620 plus penalty rates and overtime
