The Kimba Motel Roadhouse & Caravan Park is located 465 Kms from Adelaide and is about 5 hours drive from Adelaide. Situated on the western side of Kimba township on the main highway to Perth. We have 14 Standard en-suite rooms with air conditioning, heating, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, and tea and coffee making facilities. We also have a guest laundry and a licensed restaurant. It’s a busy, vibrant roadhouse motel with eatery ,Bar, Kitchen and caravan park. There are 28 drive thru powered sites and 5 acres of land for unpowered camp site. RV and BBQ. We are Open 7 days a week
Qualifications & experience
- Hold a relevant AQF (or equivalent) Certificate II in Hospitality; or
- Have at least 2 years of relevant work experience, undertaken within the last 3 years, to substitute a formal qualification.
- Experience in hospitality is must.
- Successful candidates must have the ability to obtain an RSA certification.
Tasks & responsibilities
- FOH Duties :
- general customer service
- setting and arranging tables
- taking food and beverage orders, serving food and beverages
- may recommend wine and drinks to complement food
- opening bottles and pouring beverages ,
- Food and Drinks preparation and Assistance duties:
- Serving mixed drinks, bottled, canned and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and a variety of coffee beverages such as lattes, cappuccinos and other espresso-based beverages
- selecting and grinding coffee
- Kitchen Hand Duties and general duties :
- clearing bars and tables and returning dishes, glasses and cutlery to kitchen
- removing empty bottles and used glasses from tables and bars
- cleaning and maintaining bar service areas, coffee-making areas and espresso machines
- washing glassware and arranging bottles and glasses
- shelves filling refrigerators
- Other Duties :
- collecting payments for sales and operating EFTPOS and cash registers
- promoting services and products
- stacking and displaying goods for sale
- preparing displays and presenting stock, including specials
- sell products and services in the context of the workplace, i.e., hotel over the counter sales and association with tourism/agritourism operation, roadhouse.
- practicing proper workplace health and safety procedures
- comply with relevant regulations.
- maintain current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) qualification.
