Your new role
We have an opportunity for an individual to join our Engagement team as the Senior Stakeholder Liaison Advisor - External Oversight on a full-time fixed term (12 months) basis. Reporting to the Director - Communication & Engagement, the role will coordinate IBAC's response to Integrity Oversight Victoria's requests for information and will work to build and maintain a constructive relationship with Integrity Oversight Victoria, whilst representing for IBAC's interests and advocating for policies or decisions that align with IBAC's strategic goals.
Duties include:
- Act as the key conduit between IBAC and Integrity Oversight Victoria, working to cultivate a strong, trusting relationship through proactive outreach, regular updates, and consistent communication.
- Coordinate IBAC's response to Integrity Oversight Victoria's request for information, documents etc. This includes gathering relevant information, assessing relevance their and applicability, and providing advice to the Executive, CEO and Commissioner on their response to Integrity Oversight Victoria.
- Research, analyse and evaluate complex, sensitive or emerging issues and provide options to IBAC's executive team for decision.
- Represent IBAC's interests in discussions with Integrity Oversight Victoria, navigating potential disagreements, and advocating for policies or decisions that align with IBAC's strategic goals.

Our requirements / Your skill set
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:
- Significant experience in a similar role with an emphasis on building strong, trusting relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- A tertiary qualification along with significant senior experience in communications, social science, business or a related discipline is essential.
- Experience in a public sector or complex regulatory environment.
Due to the requirement to attain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance candidates must be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
Due to a conflict-of-interest IBAC is unable to accept applications for secondment from Victoria Police employees.
