About the opportunity:
As we continue to grow we are seeking new team members to join our crew - we are looking for an Ink Room Operator to join our team in Somerton Victoria. Reporting to the Ink Services Team Leader, you will play a key role in the supply of high quality print products to the market, responsible for coordinating the supply of inks, coatings, and ancillary items for production needs.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Supplying mixed stock for inks and coatings to all print presses, taking consideration of volumes, production demands and machine constraints.
- Be responsible for the operation and performance of ink dispensing and return systems.
- Interact well and maintain a positive relationship with all production functions.
- You will contribute to all steps in our production process and practices including, Quality, Safety, Good Manufacturing practice (GMP) and Environmental control measures.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Ideally, ink room experience (preferred but not essential – training will be provided).
- Experience working in manufacturing, ideally in print
- Demonstrated planning and organisational skills.
- Be a team player that can communicate effectively across multiple work groups.
- Able to work autonomously and are self-motivated.
- To have high attention to detail and proud of your work standard – quality focus.
