The key duties of the position include
The Role
- Supports both Technical and Aircrew publications distribution.
- Perform information and records management activities in accordance with relevant legislative and Defence policies and procedures.
- Maintain security classified information material in accordance with Defence requirements.
- Understand and implement information and records management policies and procedures to physical and electronic records.
- Physical records management requirement where required. Eg. Aircrew checklists.
- Amendment of local digital records within the AVDOCS delivery platform as required to support unit needs.
- Local hardware management through maintenance and issue of spare EFB and Tough Books as required.
About our Team
The Technical Data Officer /Electronic Flight Bag Manager (TDO EFB) resides within AAvnTC Operational Airworthiness (OPAW) section under the supervision of the SO2 OPAW.
The Army Aviation Training Centre (AAvnTC) OPAW section ensures the management of Orders, Instructions and Procedures (OIP) content. OIP is the primary means of communicating and distributing operating, maintenance and regulatory information to the workforce. Its management is a key enabler in order to maintain compliance within the Operations Airworthiness (OPAW) regulatory framework.
The OIP content is hosted on the Aviation Digitalised OIP content management System (AVDOCS) platforms or through the delivery of hardcopy technical Data which are maintained and available to aircrew and other stakeholders within AAvnTC. This ensures safe and reliable operations.

- Demonstrated high level of initiative and ability to produce outcomes with minimal direction and supervision.
- Well-developed skills with the Microsoft Office suite of software (including Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint).
- Well-developed skills with Data Management Systems and, be able to demonstrate Initiative and sound judgement in the interpretation and operational application of policy.
