Field Service Fitter

Description:

Spectra Recruitment is thrilled to partner with a global industry leader to offer an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Fitter position in Eagle Farm, QLD. This role begins on a casual basis with the potential to become permanent.
The Field Service Fitter is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of screens for water treatment plants and Oil&Gas plants. This role requires travel to various customer sites, providing technical support and ensuring optimal performance of our products.
Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair at customer sites.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Provide technical support and training to customers.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Document all service activities, including detailed reports on work performed and parts used.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both on-site and in the service vehicle.
• Collaborate with the service team and other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a fitter or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments.
