About the Role

The nurse assisting in ECT works closely with the ECT coordinator, medical officers and other nursing staff in the ECT suite and wards to ensure patients receive high quality safe mental health care.

RN-1 We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a nurse at this level, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality nursing services within a variety of health service settings. This role is designed for those who are ready to progress from novice practitioners to proficient professionals, gaining hands-on experience while consolidating knowledge and advancing skills. Through continuous professional development, you will build your expertise and become a vital part of our nursing workforce.

In this position, you will take on a key role in delivering exceptional patient care, while maintaining accountability for your nursing standards and the activities delegated to others. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team, fostering an environment where growth, learning, and patient outcomes are at the forefront of everything we do. If you're looking for a rewarding career path that allows you to grow your professional capabilities and make a real difference, this is the role for you. Join us in creating positive impacts on the lives of those who need it most.

RN-2 As a Clinical Nurse (CN) in the Mental Health Care Program (MHCP), you will provide high-quality mental health nursing care across a variety of settings. Your practice will be built on experience and further study, allowing you to demonstrate ongoing professional development as you progress from competent to proficient practitioner. You will be responsible for maintaining high practice standards, managing activities delegated to others, and offering guidance to less experienced staff. This dynamic role offers opportunities to lead, develop, and continually refine your clinical expertise within a supportive environment.

While predominantly clinical in nature, the CN role offers a diverse range of responsibilities, including involvement in clinical teaching, research, and contributing to MHCP-wide projects such as the development of clinical protocols, guidelines, and process mapping. You may also be entrusted with portfolios aligned with your career development plan and MHCP priorities, allowing for a fulfilling and rewarding career trajectory. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are passionate about making a difference in mental health nursing and committed to growing in both clinical and leadership capacities.

ENC/END

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Enrolled Nurse (MHEN) looking to make a real difference? In this role, you will work closely with Registered Nurses to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Your practice will align with regulatory and statutory requirements, ensuring the wellbeing of those in your care. Whether you’re a novice or a proficient Enrolled Nurse, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment while contributing to a multidisciplinary team.

Under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing holistic nursing care, supporting recovery-oriented practices, and fostering a safe and therapeutic environment. While working collaboratively, you will maintain accountability for your own actions, upholding the highest standards of professional integrity. If you have a passion for mental health and a commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care, we invite you to join our team and be part of a rewarding and meaningful career.
