The Role
We are seeking a Systems Technician with prior experience in Navigation and Systems Equipment to support and provide assurance for various activities related to the installation, maintenance, and testing of Naval systems equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment meets requirements, legislative, policy, and regulatory frameworks, and that safety aspects are considered and incorporated into technical activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with pre-installation activities for navigation and systems equipment, ensuring readiness for installation.
- Support navigation and systems equipment installation activities and provide assurance throughout the installation process.
- Oversee equipment installation inspection, set to work, alignment, and integration processes.
- Liaise with external stakeholders for STW and commissioning of navigation and systems equipment.
- Provide regular reporting on ship construction, project, and shipyard status.
- Assess technical risk and provide advice on solutions and preferred resolution options.
- Provide reporting on ship construction, project and shipyard status to inform stakeholder community.
