Curis Recruitment is proud to partner with this fantastic health service based in the Northern Territory to help them find a Remote Area Nurse to join their team on an agency contract basis.As a Remote Area Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering healthcare in remote and isolated areas, often working independently. Using your broad clinical experience you will be managing a variety of medical conditions and emergencies while also engaging closely with local communities, including Indigenous populations, to provide culturally appropriate care and support.
Job Details
- 4-6 weeks agency contract
- Commencing within the next 2-4 weeks
- Up to $116 per hour AM rate plus other shift penalties plus 11.5% superannuation
- Fully furnished accommodation
- Return travel provided from within Australia

Stunning Landscapes: Explore the vast grasslands of the Barkly Tableland and iconic natural features like the Devil's Marbles (Karlu Karlu).
Cultural Immersion : Engage with Indigenous communities to learn about their traditions, art, and cultural practices.
Historic Sites : Discover the history of the Overland Telegraph Line and visit historical mining sites
Wildlife and Nature : Observe local wildlife and experience the diverse flora and fauna of the region’s natural environment.
Cattle Grazing : Learn about the cattle industry in one of Australia’s major grazing areas, and visit working cattle stations.
This remote setting provides a respite from urban life, allowing for a focused work environment and offering a valuable chance to support Indigenous communities closely, while learning about and contributing to the preservation of their rich cultural traditions.
To be eligible you must:
- Have full AHPRA registration with no restrictions
- Minimum three years post graduate experience as a Registered Nurse with strong clinical experience in General and Acute Medicine, Accident & Emergency
- Recent Remote Area Health or Primary Health experience within Indigenous communities is ideal
- Have completed all core competencies including an up to date police check and WWCC
- Full drivers license
- Must have full Australian working rights (i.e., Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship)
