Job Summary:
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Assistant Educators to join our Pachamama Family! The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to help children achieve their full potential and contribute to their overall development. As an Assistant Educator, you will work closely with the room manager to create observation and implement program plans, provide individualised support to children, and create a safe and positive learning environment.
We’re offering two positions:
- One in our long day care with flexible rotating shifts for better work-life planning.
- One with our school-aged children, featuring split shifts to accommodate your other activities and help you make the most of your day.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the room manager to develop observation and implement program plans aligned with exceeding standards under the NQF and tailored to individual children’s interests, abilities and needs.
- Document children’s progress accurately, providing feedback to the room manager and families.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and positive learning environment by adhering to policies, regulations, and best practices.
- Work collaboratively with educators and staff to ensure the success of Pachamama philosophy.
- Maintain aesthetically pleasing environments that function effectively as the ‘Third Teacher’.
- Complete necessary daily documentation, such as task checklists, to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Children’s Services or an equivalent qualification in early childhood education.
- First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylactic training.
- An Australian driver’s license (manual LR desired).
- Proven experience working with children in an educational setting or similar role.
- Excellent communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and connection with families.
- Ability to adapt quickly to varying individual children’s needs and service requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of NQF standards and current best practices in early childhood education.
