Technical Lead/Senior Robotics Engineer
$130-170K + Super
Melbourne – Hybrid WFH


The Company
Our Melbourne based client are an established scale-up who develop automated robotic systems for mass production. They have partnered with a number of industry leading organisations in the industrial automation sector as they navigate unprecedented growth.
Responsibilities
  • Design, development of software for the control of robotics arms/robotic application, and the integration of sensors, gears, PLC, HMI etc., across a range of complex machinery.
  • Collaborate with the software, controls, mechanical engineering staff, clients, and other stakeholders, in order to understand the requirements, and scope of each custom project.
  • Draft blueprints, sketches and other documentation demonstrating proposed ideas & prototypes, modifications based on feedback and simulation results.
  • Construct, configure, test & debug robot & robotics systems.
  • Recommend enhancement/developments to increase production volume or precision in high-throughput operations.
  • Coach, mentor, and direct Engineers technical undertakings.
  • Technical & Design Reviews and Design Interfaces.
  • Timely reporting of Project, milestone or task progress, risks, and issue.

Your Background/Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications across Mechatronics/Mechanical/Systems Engineering.
  • Have experience robot programming (i.e., FANUC, ABB, KUKA robotics).
  • High level PLC programming (ST, SFC, SL) is desirable.
  • Experience with efficient error reporting system design and fault-finding best practice.
  • Understanding of auxiliary functions/systems (i.e., computer vision).
  • Complex industrial machinery design from concept idea to detailed design.
  • Machine design with integrated Servo drives, PLC, VFD, and Robots.
