Achieve are recruiting for a Leading Hand HR Waste Collection person forwork on Magnetic IslandImmediate start
Hours of work are 5.45am - 1.51pm Monday - Friday normally, however, some availability required for occasional weekends and/or public holidays.
The HR Truck is kept on Magnetic Island.
Follow reasonable directions to maintain business continuity of critical business activities in the event of an unplanned disruption, including but not limited to a disaster or event.
Lead and train a small team of waste or recycling collection operators in the safe and efficient operation of allocated plant. (Current bin lift rate of not less than 180 bins p/hour in residential areas and not less than 90 bins p/hour in rural areas dependent upon density.)
Ensure all bins within the team’s allocated waste area are serviced or corrective actions applied to meet agreed timeframes, operational plans and standards.
Perform pre start, pre operational, close down and minor maintenance and housekeeping to allocated plant and report any faults, breakdowns and accident damage to the Supervisor as soon as possible after the occurrence.
Comply with relevant legislative requirements, including administrative directives and procedures relating to role. Demonstrated experience role modelling a positive safety culture and adherence to the Health Safety Management Systems through visible leadership and exercising due diligence and management of compliance and legislative obligations.
Previous experience in a similar role is desired. Ability to read and write is required
REQUIRMENTS:
Current QLD HR Truck licence
Pass pre-employment medical
Pass Drug and Alcohol checks
Have a clear Police check
Own transport for getting to work
Physically capable of undergoing the role
Ability to lead a team of people
Experience in a similar role
