Founded in 2018, Little Big Steps is an inspiring and growing charity committed to transforming the lives of children with cancer through movement and physical activity. With an ambitious mission to provide physiotherapy support to every child with cancer in Australia, Little Big Steps strives to make a lasting impact on young patients and their families. In collaboration with hospitals and health professionals, Little Big Steps provides resources which harness technology, innovative programs and essential physiotherapy support to help children stay active throughout treatment. By keeping kids moving, Little Big Steps empowers them on their journey to recovery to get back to doing the things they love sooner.
You will lead the organisation and be supported by a dedicated and highly experienced Board. You will be responsible for the operational excellence of the charity, expanding fundraising initiatives and events to boost revenue while innovating new approaches for growth and impact. The role will lead and foster a broad range of stakeholder relationships from major donors, corporate partnerships, government, hospitals and other health related organisations. Equally, you will connect meaningfully with the children and families who benefit from Little Big Steps, ensuring their needs remain at the heart of the organisation’s mission. You will spearhead initiatives that expand the charity’s reach and influence, enhancing its long-term sustainability.
You are a motivated and collaborative leader who is keen to be very hands on. Respected for your empathic and genuine nature, you are passionate about the cause and can connect with people from all walks of life. With strong business acumen and a proven track record of successful fundraising, you will be an active ambassador for Little Big Steps and a dedicated advocate for its donors and their vital contributions. Beyond fundraising, you have the capacity to increase opportunities for Little Big Steps through increased recognition of the outcomes it achieves and the evidence supporting it.
