About the opportunity
Position: Pharmacist - Advanced
Vacancy: Fixed Term Temporary Part-time commencing ASAP up to 08/06/2025 (with the possibility of extension up to 28/02/2026), 15.2 hours per fortnight
Location: Pharmacy Department, Townsville University Hospital
What's on offer?
Pro rata remuneration package based on full time equivalent value of up to $14,365 p.m.
- Salary range: $73.12 - $76.30 p.h. (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (HP5).
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading and 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options and flexible working arrangements may be available.
About the role
- Operationally manage the “Medical Team” of Senior Pharmacists, Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants, including a formal role in performance appraisal and management of reporting staff.
- Provide independent, high-level, generalist clinical pharmacy services of a complex and critical nature with significant scope, including authoritative counsel as a recognised consultant within the HHS, and where appropriate the state.
- Deliver active strategic leadership in the development and maintenance of service-wide activities, including the development of pharmacy services utilising review and improvement activities through collaboration.
- Participate and where appropriate lead in planning activities within the pharmacy department and clinical areas of responsibility and act as a role model and advocate for the service.
Role requirements
- Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree from a recognised tertiary institution (or equivalent).
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
