About the Role
Land and Building Services, within the Infrastructure Services Directorate, manages CFA's extensive real estate portfolio across Victoria. It oversees capital works, property procurement, facilities management, and asset maintenance to support CFA's emergency services.
The portfolio includes fire stations, workshops, training grounds, regional offices, emergency management facilities, and state headquarters.
Reporting to the Manager of Property Services, the Property Officer supports property acquisitions and disposals, HQ facility management, and property-related projects. This role is responsible for establishing leases for CFA fire stations and addressing the backlog of lease requests. It may also support other pending property matters as needed.
This role manages leases, property acquisitions, disposals, and facility management for CFA. It ensures timely transactions, meets financial targets, and maintains accurate property records. Responsibilities include stakeholder engagement, reporting to senior management, and providing expert advice on governance and planning while improving property information management.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following• Qualifications in property management or a related real estate discipline and/or experience in real estate management.• Demonstrated experience in the delivery of property acquisitions and disposals transactions• Experience in property leasing• Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate and deliver agreed outputs for property transactions• Ability to effectively manage financial resources• Good understanding and know ledge of policy and practice as it applies to real estate property management.• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills combined with strong business acumen applied to property transactions and negotiations• Ability to engage and build relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
