Job Description:
We are looking for a Boilermaker with substantial experience in the mining manufacturing sector. You will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and repair of metal structures and equipment used in mining operations. The ideal candidate will have strong welding skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to ensuring all work meets the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding and fabrication of various metal components for mining machinery, structures, and equipment.
• Conduct regular maintenance and repair of mining equipment, including crushers, conveyors, and other heavy-duty machinery. Ensure all repairs are completed efficiently and safely.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
• Adhere to all safety standards and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team. Conduct regular safety checks and report any hazards or concerns.
• Inspect and assess equipment for wear and tear, conducting necessary repairs or replacement of damaged parts.
• Work closely with other tradespeople, engineers, and supervisors to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Identify and resolve issues related to metal structures or equipment, using technical expertise and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

• Boilermaker Trade Qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Boilermaker, specifically in mining or heavy manufacturing.
• Strong welding skills (MIG, TIG, Stick) and experience with various welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• In-depth knowledge of fabrication techniques, welding standards, and metalworking tools.
• Solid understanding of safety procedures and industry best practices in mining and manufacturing.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and strong mechanical aptitude.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in the mining sector, particularly in maintenance or fabrication of mining equipment.
• Forklift or other machinery operating certifications.
• Confined space entry and working at heights training.
