The Role
Reporting to the Multi-Site Store Manager, Sydney, we are seeking an enthusiastic team player with a passion for retail and a strong ability to lead, inspire and motivate others. As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in cultivating a positive and inclusive environment, innovating new strategies, and guiding our team to provide outstanding customer experiences. This role presents a unique opportunity to develop a higher level of leadership, especially given that the Multi-Site Manager is not always on site. Responsibilities
- Cultivate a Positive Team Culture: Assist the Store Manager in creating an inclusive and positive environment that drives exceptional performance and teamwork.
- Strategic Contribution: Offer innovative ideas and strategies to deliver strong commercial outcomes.
- Empower Team Growth: Contribute to the training, coaching, and motivation of the store team to uncover their full potential.
- Optimise Inventory and Sales: Support in maintaining optimal stock levels and drive sales through effective inventory management.
- Streamline Online Orders : Ensure accurate and efficient handling of online order fulfilment processes.
- Loss Prevention Oversight: Thoroughly comprehend and contribute to all matters and processes related to Loss Prevention.
- WH&S: Ensure a safe and compliant workplace by maintaining all WH&S policies, providing team member training, supporting in the management of incident reporting and investigations, and promoting a proactive safety culture.
- Operational Management: Support the day-to-day operational needs within the store, ensuring smooth functioning, effective delegation, and efficient workflow management
About You
- Demonstrated Retail Leadership: Proven track record in previous retail leadership roles, showcasing effective team management and direction.
- Comprehensive Retail Acumen: In-depth knowledge spanning all facets of retail operations.
- Leadership and Communication: Ability to build strong, long-lasting relationships with customers and team members through exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Analytical Competence: Strong problem-solving capabilities, combined with an understanding of data analysis to support informed decision-making.
- Organisation: Ability to organise and manage time effectively, ensuring tasks are prioritised and completed efficiently.
- Flexible Availability: Willingness to work a minimum of 2 weekend days per month and adaptability to support the business where required.
