About the role:
We are looking for a full-time Front Office Manager to assist our Hotel Manager in the daily operations of running the Hotel.
The role involves supervising a small reception team, as well as hands-on reception shifts, providing friendly, personalised customer service in responding to accommodation enquires, promoting the Hotel to achieve sales targets, and processing reservations.
Your role directly contributes to the comfort and satisfaction of our guests.
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team with a working schedule with hours to be contained within our operating open hours of 7am - 9pm. Must be able to work week-ends.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting the Hotel Manager,
- Ensure self and staff display professional, friendly and helpful service to all guests.
- Help Hotel Manager to enforce hotel policies and procedures and provide guidance to staff.
- Oversee the day-to day operations of Front desk and conferencing and Housekeeping and take necessary action during the absence of the Hotel Manager.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Front Office.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience as a Front Office Supervisor is not essential as this position may suit a person with extensive Front Office experience and demonstrated comprehensive understanding of hotel operations that is seeking a step up to the next level
- Exposure to F&B experience will be highly regarded.
- Computer Skills: It is *essential* that you are familiar with MS Office applications. (Word, Basic Excel, Microsoft Outlook, attaching documents to email, basic formulas on existing Excel worksheets) with RMS9+ and Siteminder experience a distinct advantage
- Passion: A can-do attitude and a genuine passion for guest experience.
- Adherence to Company policies: Able to follow our well-established policies and procedures across the departments.
- Flexibility: Working varied shifts within our operating hours and be willing to be on call two nights per week.
- Certificates – Current RSA, Licensee holders plus First Aid or willing to obtain.
- Vehicle – Must have own vehicle - essential.
