Our client is a specialist commercial law firm with a strong presence in Newcastle and a growing office in Sydney CBD.

About the role
The firm has a highly successful and growing Workplace practice in Newcastle, which continues to grow due to high client demand. This growth has led to this newly created position for an experienced Associate/Senior Associate Solicitor with at least 5 years of post-admission experience (PAE) to join.
You will be the most senior Workplace Solicitor in Sydney so this is a blue sky opportunity to grow the practice and team in collaboration with the senior Workplace Solicitor in Newcastle and Director. For the right person, a pathway to equity may be on offer.
About the candidate
This role is likely to suit a senior Workplace Relations lawyer with broad experience, with passion for their chosen area of practice and a desire to collaborate and grow a practice. Experience in these areas will be highly desirable:
  • Employment contracts
  • Unfair dismissal claims
  • General protections claims
  • Trade restraint issues
  • Workplace harassment disputes
  • Representation in Fair Work Commission and State and Federal Courts
  • This role offers a blend of advisory and litigation work, allowing you to tackle meaningful legal challenges while assisting businesses and individuals with complex employment issues.
