Kurranulla Aboriginal Corporation (KAC) based in Jannali in the Sutherland Shire is a drop-in center for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples living in the Sutherland Shire and Georges River local government area.
We provide specialist and individualised services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within the community.
This senior position is responsible for the overall management of Kurranulla Aboriginal Corporation. With the responsibility of:
- Continued growth and viability of KAC and to develop and grow the organisation’s services and to provide strategies and advice to the Board of Directors.
- Accountable for managing the day-to-day operations, Financial Management, Staff Management, Workplace Health and Safety, General Duties and Ensuring KPI’s are met to all funding contracts
Essential qualifications, skills and experience
- Tertiary qualification in Leadership, Management, Business or Health
- Extensive management skills and experience in a related role (preferably with an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation)
Desirable qualifications, skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience and ability in supervision and providing strong leadership to Aboriginal staff, wider community, partners and stakeholders
- Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and computer literacy
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and develop partnerships and relationships across the Aboriginal community and community service sector
- Knowledge and experience in the Aged Care sector
