My Bookkeeper is a well-established boutique bookkeeping practice located in Macquarie Park, specialising in bookkeeping and BAS services. We are close to bus and Metro.
We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our motivated and professional team, on a part time basis. This is a work from home position. You might visit the office and clients from time to time.
The hours will be 15 – 20 hours a week across 5 days to start with and can grow when the practice grows.
The successful applicant will be required to deliver a high-quality bookkeeping service to an assortment of clients across multiple industries.
Experience in Xero and MYOB is essential. Ideally you will be able to problem solve, have a high attention to detail, and display high levels of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Check other bookkeepers’ work
- Check bank reconciliations in MYOB & Xero
- Investigate and resolve client issues in Xero & MYOB
- Review, prepare and lodge IAS and BAS for clients
- Checking or processing payroll for clients either on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis
- Filing Single Touch Payroll, financial year end reconciling and finalisation
- Processing super through the ATO Small Business Clearing House, MYOB and Xero
- Preparing budget and cash flow for clients
- Checking accounts receivable and payable and chasing debtors when required
- Setting up new clients in Xero
- Some admin tasks
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping and payroll experience ideally within a public practice environment
- High level of experience using Xero & MYOB
- High level of experience using word and excel
- Experience with Stripe
- Good organisational skills, ability to multitask and prioritise work efficiently
- Flexibility to changing priorities and work demands
- Keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high quality work
- Ability to learn new software quickly
- Self-motivated & ability to work autonomously
- Great written and verbal communication skills.
