Rimkus is growing and we are recruiting an Senior Accounts Receivable Officer in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is looking to progress their career within a fast-growing consulting firm.

The role

Reporting to the APAC Projects and Revenue Manager, the Senior Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible for managing the full Accounts Receivable process, including WIP reporting, monitoring, billing, and collections. This role places a strong emphasis on collections within a dynamic professional services environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Take ownership of the Accounts Receivable process and collections activities
  • Manage the reduction in Aged Debt and debtor days
  • WIP and Debtors dashboard reporting
  • Oversight and management of WIP
  • Billing
  • Client receipt allocations and ensuring debtors ledger is up to date
  • Support the Projects and Revenue Manager with post-acquisition AR integration
  • Where required, provide support to the APAC Finance team with bank reconciliations and other finance tasks including AR related month-end close process
  • Support the streamlining of processes across the region
  • Support the Projects and Revenue Manager with audit queries
  • Where required, working with the UK and US counterparts

Experience and Skills Required

  • 5–10 years of experience in billing, collections, and leading Accounts Receivable functions, with a proven track record in reducing aged debt.
  • Highly adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Tenacity and determination to navigate system challenges and post-migration transitions.
  • Experience using the 3E system (desirable).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and able to work effectively both independently and within a close, supportive team.
  • A strong team player with a problem-solving mindset and a solution-oriented approach.
  • Adaptable and agile in approach, supporting the organisation through transformation and growth.
  • Ability to collaborate with global colleagues across different time zones.
