Position InformationWiley Park Public School is a primary school established in 1983 and situated in South Western Sydney as part of the Beverly Hills Network. The school population comprises of approximately 548 students from diverse cultural, religious and socio-economic backgrounds. The staff have a range of skills and experiences, including several early careers teachers and a well-established executive team that work collaborative to support school priorities. The school has a Support Unit that consists of 4 classes.
The school population is 96% NESB (Non-English Speaking Background). It is a highly transient community with the predominate cultural backgrounds being Arabic and Bengali. Wiley Park Public School has an onsite Schools as Community Centre (SaCC) that offers a range of programs to support the needs of the community.

Selection Criteria
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary.
- Proven capacity to work proactively as part of a dynamic leadership team and effectively balance the dual roles of an exemplary teacher with the complex responsibilities of an Assistant Principal.
- Deep understanding of and capacity to facilitate and lead collaborative data driven decision making including monitoring and evaluating school initiatives, to ensure the continuous improvement of student outcomes in literacy and numeracy.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing effective practices that support student wellbeing to include STEM and extra-curricular activities.
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
