Description:

The role will be responsible for executing the PR, Event & Partnerships strategies, and tactical plans to maximize PR coverage and sales of current and forthcoming products amongst new and existing clients. Build brand saliency and advocacy in the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Responsibilities

Public Relations:

  • Implement the global La Prairie PR strategy, developing a local plan across Tier 1 and Tier 2 media.
  • Promote La Prairie and its products, campaigns, activities, and events to the Oceania media relevant external audiences.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key journalists both online and offline in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Build relationships with Friends of the House, key opinion leaders and Brand Ambassadors.
  • Monitor La Prairie brand placement / exposure, ensuring all communications and activities are on brand.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure that all La Prairie messages are timely and consistent with the marketing activity.
  • Draft and disseminate key press releases and send outs to editors (both online and offline) including liaison with local regulatory advisor.
  • Provide administrative, sample and image requests for all press.

Events:

  • Execute La Prairie events program to support the client journey, product launches and strategic objectives e.g. retention, new client recruitment, PR coverage.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team & Retail Managers & other internal stakeholders to ensure all event support and executions are transparent and clearly cascaded.

Partnerships:

  • Identify opportunities for brand partnerships and events for La Prairie.
  • Develop and present partnership proposals.
  • Manage and execute approved partnerships.
  • Execute Influencer marketing program with media agency, including performance monitoring and reporting.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • University Graduate in Communications, Public Relations preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience in PR and Events. Experience in skin care or luxury retail would be an added advantage.
  • Working relationships with beauty and lifestyle print, digital and broadcast media, knowledge of influencers.
  • Discreet, professional, and well spoken, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, Independent, agile and proactive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Knowledge of Canva / design tools.
