The Position
This position will work with the Community Development Partner in developing and reviewing strategic documents that have a focus on Social Matters. You will work with the community to deliver on actions outlined in strategic documents and assist
Community organisations to deliver events. The position will oversee AlburyCity’s internal grant programs and will be the primary contact and resource for Community Gardens, Aged and Disability, Multicultural and Homelessness matters.

Qualifications & experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Community Services or Social Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience in the community sector.
- Demonstrated experience working in a community development framework with a preference for working with older people, people with a disability and the multicultural community
- Experience in the delivery of community outcomes
- Assist in developing and reviewing strategic reports for the Community Development area.
- Implement actions captured in strategic documents for the Community Development area.
- Coordinate, manage, monitor, review Council’s Financial assistance program, including grants programs.
- Support service delivery at community centers
- Provide administrative support to community groups when required.
Hours
Based on a 35 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity’s RDO guidelines.
