Gladstone Tennis & Squash Association is seeking a motivated and experienced sporting professional to take on the management and operation of our premier tennis, squash, and pickleball facility. About the Facility:
Gladstone Tennis & Squash Association is a top-tier sporting venue, with 12 hard courts, 4 synthetic grass courts, 5 indoor squash courts and a sizeable clubhouse. Our facility is designed to cater to athletes and sports enthusiasts of all skill levels, whether for casual play, competitive leagues, or individual lessons. We are dedicated to creating a dynamic and welcoming environment for players of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Management : Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility, including staffing, court bookings, and basic maintenance of tennis, squash, and pickleball courts.
- Program Development : Develop and manage a variety of sports programs, classes, leagues, and tournaments for tennis, squash, and pickleball.
- Customer Service : Ensure an exceptional experience for members, guests, and athletes by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
- Marketing & Promotion : Create and execute marketing strategies to drive membership, attract new players, and increase facility usage across all three sports.
- Financial Oversight : Manage financial aspects, including budgeting, lease payments, and ensuring profitability while maintaining high-quality service.
- Health & Safety : Ensure all safety standards are met and that the facility complies with health and safety regulations for both the facility and its users.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience managing or leasing a sporting facility, particularly in tennis, squash, or pickleball.
- A strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to grow and manage a profitable sports business including a pro-shop, facility hire, etc.
- Knowledge of facility operations, including court maintenance, booking systems, and junior program development.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to manage both staff and clients.
- Passion for tennis, squash, and pickleball with an understanding of the unique needs of each sport.
- Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to develop and implement successful marketing strategies to increase visibility and membership.
