Eden Ritchie Recruitment is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer – Legibility Program to support a major transport initiative focused on improving public transport customer information.

The successful candidate will play a key role in formalising and documenting legibility and design guidelines, ensuring consistency across all customer-facing materials.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and finalise the Legibility Style and Design Guide, documenting design principles, icons, colour schemes, fonts, and other specifications for future use.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Communications, and Passenger Transport Integration teams, to ensure alignment with branding and accessibility standards.
  • Manage the design documentation process, capturing decisions and balancing competing objectives to achieve high stakeholder consensus.
  • Apply the style and design guide to various customer information products, including network maps, line diagrams, frequency tables, and digital assets.
  • Conduct stakeholder engagement, gathering feedback and iterating designs to improve user experience.
  • Participate in meetings and workshops to facilitate discussions on legibility improvements.
  • Maintain and manage project controls, including risk registers, action trackers, and milestone schedules.

Key Requirements:
  • Strong background in user-focused design with experience in design documentation and multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance competing design priorities and provide structured documentation.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to articulate and justify design decisions.
  • Experience working on large-scale public information projects (transport-related experience is an advantage but not mandatory).
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple deliverables.
  • Understanding of brand consistency and accessibility principles in public-facing communications.
