Job Type: Temporary position | Casual position

Banana Farm Worker Required: Employed under the Horticultural Award 2020 (MA000028) Field based position undertaking a range of banana growing activities. This is a physical role which will require the staff member to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Activities include but are not limited to:

• Harvesting
• Deleafing
• Desuckering
• Strining
• Fixing Irrigation
• Weeding

Essential Criteria:

• Physically Fit
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Flexibility to work up to 38 hours a week (with additional work hours optional)
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Good English – ability to understand simple instructions
• Flexibility to work in all weather conditions, such as daytime temperatures of over 35 degrees and long periods of constant rain
• Prepared to start as soon as possible and remain in the position for up to 9 months.

Desirable Criteria:

• Drivers License
• Experience in farm/construction labouring work
• Experience in driving farm machinery

There is potential to upskill and additional training may be provided.
