- Office of the Vice President (Advancement and Community Engagement)
- Full-time, fixed-term until 31 October 2026
- Base salary will be in the range $100,554 - $109,496 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 7)
- Based at the picturesque St Lucia Campus
In this pivotal role, you will possess a deep understanding of policies and practices that promote access and inclusion at a system level, focusing on institutional strategy and structural change to advance equity across UQ.
The position requires strong project management expertise, stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to translate policy into action, ensuring initiatives are aligned with UQ’s broader institutional priorities and commitments.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Lead the implementation and acceleration of key TQC strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with institutional strategy and governance structures.
- Support governance, reporting, and compliance processes, ensuring equity-driven initiatives meet institutional priorities and external commitments.
- Manage multiple strategic projects, focusing on policy translation, structural change, and long-term impact.
- Work closely with faculties, divisions, and external partners, ensuring initiatives integrate effectively within existing university frameworks.
- Prepare reports, briefings, and recommendations for leadership to support informed decision-making.
- Develop and refine operational processes that enhance the efficiency and impact of strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to strategic planning discussions, ensuring the TQC Roadmap continues to evolve based on sector trends and internal data.
- Identify risks and challenges in implementing initiatives and provide evidence-based solutions.

About You
We are seeking a highly motivated professional with experience in project management, governance, and equity-focused strategic initiatives.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.
- Experience delivering complex, system-wide initiatives that align with governance and institutional strategy.
- Deep understanding of equity policy and implementation, with a focus on institutional strategy and structural change to advance equity across UQ.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, stakeholders, and reporting obligations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working across faculties, divisions, and external partners.
- Ability to analyse data, evaluate program effectiveness, and translate findings into strategic recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing reports, business cases, and stakeholder updates.
