The Home and location:
Fairview is a 116 Bed Residential Aged Care Home located in Pinjarra Hills.
About the Role:
AS a Personal Care Worker you will provide assistance to our residents ensuring they are supported with services and activities that are centred around their wellbeing, independence, interests and choices. These include:
- Assistance with residence mobility needs, including manual handling.
- Assistance at mealtimes as required by the resident such as food and drink preparation and feeding if required.
- Encouraging to engage in various social activities
- Assistance with their personal care needs, maintaining hygiene, toileting and personal care such as dressing, grooming and oral care.
To be successful in this role we require you to have the following skills experience & attributes
- Experience in aged care role highly regarded.
- Understanding of person-centred care
- Strong, clear verbal and written English skills
- Collaborative approach to teamwork
- Willingness to take direction and follow instructions / compliance
- A Confident, friendly and professional approach to team and residents
Mandatory for compliance
Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or Home and Community/ must include Completion of CHCCS011 Meet Personal Support Needs UNIT as part of one of the abovementioned qualifications.
- Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
- Be willing to obtain a National Police Check
- Seasonal Flu vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
- Evidence of Covid-19 vaccinations in line with current requirements
