Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the Compliance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Entain meets its critical compliance obligations across Australia and New Zealand.

This is a great opportunity for those who prefer, or have previous experience, working in 'greenfields roles' as its main focus will be to oversee the development, implementation, and ongoing management of governance and compliance frameworks across the business to drive engagement and adherence with Entain's regulatory requirements.

You will get exposure to collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed compliance into operational activities and proactively foster a culture of continuous compliance improvement, ensuring Entain delivers not only a legally compliant service but also a trusted and responsible experience for customers.

The position is based in Brisbane, Australia. Entain has offices in Darwin, Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland, and Wellington. Your day-to-day...

  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive enterprise-wide compliance framework to meet regulatory obligations across multiple jurisdictions, including licence conditions, privacy legislation, anti-bribery policies, and marketing standards.
  • Oversee the implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure alignment with Australian and New Zealand regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and deliver targeted training programs to raise awareness of compliance risks and the importance of adherence to organisational policies.
  • Establish and maintain robust monitoring systems to assess the effectiveness of compliance controls, identifying gaps and implementing remediation plans.
  • Provide regular compliance reports to Head of Compliance and Senior Management, including insights and recommendations.
  • Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on compliance matters, supporting leaders to understand and manage their compliance obligations both with respect to legislative and regulatory requirements as well as corporate governance and best practice models

What you’ll bring...

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance management within highly regulated industries, ideally in online wagering, gambling, or broader financial services industries.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in Australia and New Zealand, including AML/CTF, Safer Gambling, privacy laws, and advertising standards.
  • A proven background in building things from the ground up - developing, implementing and managing complex compliance frameworks and obligation within an organisation.
  • Proficiency in compliance monitoring systems (GRC systems) and data analytics tools.
  • Be an approachable and proactive partner to be able to work with designated areas of the business to deliver against a large work plan.
  • Be able to communicate your ideas clearly to a range of different audiences and be effective in influencing thinking to embed a culture of continuous compliance improvement.
