Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced Head Cook / Chef in Far North QLD!

Flights : Paid from Cairns
Package :

• Salary : $100,000
• Work Schedule : 5-day week, split shifts (lunch & dinner)
• Accommodation : Free private room in a shared house + duty meals

Your Role :
As the Head Cook / Chef, you'll be the backbone of the kitchen, responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting a wide variety of dishes. Your skills in handling steaks and seafood will be key, and you’ll be expected to work solo in the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, cleanliness, and customer service.
Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting meals to perfection
• Confidently cooking steaks and seafood to satisfy guests' tastes
• Managing stock control, including monthly stocktakes
• Keeping the kitchen spotless and well-organised
• Preparing approx. 16 duty meals daily
• Maintaining professional and efficient service at all times
• Catering for in-house conferences and offsite functions
• Adhering to health & safety and food hygiene regulations
• Older kitchen

What We’re Looking For :

• Food Safety Certificate
• Previous experience working shifts solo
• A passion for creating exceptional food
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with both customers and staff
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
