The Team:

Beaconsfield District Health Service

  • We are located in the historical town of Beaconsfield, a scenic 45 minutes’ drive from Launceston. National Parks, beaches and historical sites are all within a short drive from the town.
  • You will find, Beaconsfield District Health Service is known for its welcoming environment, with strong teamwork and positive attitudes.
  • Beaconsfield District Health Service provides care to a complex patient cohort, Respite clients, Aged Care residents, Emergency presentations and sub-acute clients.

The Role:

  • As a Health Care Assistant, you will be expected to attend group handover.
  • You will assist with shared care of the residents and patients, attending to their hygiene and continence requirements during your shift.
  • You will be required make beds, empty skip bins as needed and fill cupboards with clean linen.
  • You will be required to set up residents/patients for feeds assist in feeding resident/patients as needed.
  • You will assist residents/patients to and from the dining room and help with serving meals, drink preparation and clearing of plates etc.
  • You will also assist the resident/patient to get changed and prepared to bed.
  • You will take direction from nursing staff.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for 12 months.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $62,486 to $65,119 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
