The Opportunity
We at Southern Cross Care are seeking energetic and motivated team members with good communication skills who can work with a team of dedicated support personnel. You will need to be a good team player with a commitment to the provision of high-quality service. The role of Food Service Assistant is an opportunity that will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering impeccable service to our residents.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- A positive and proactive approach to customer service.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads.
What you’ll need:
- Minimum qualification or experience in Food Service role.
- Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards (or the ability to acquire this).
- Satisfactory national police check within the last three months.
- Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration with NDIS endorsement.
- If you are on a visa, a copy of your current IMMI Letter.
