About the role
MIC Building Services is seeking a skilled Building Trades Person to join our team in Adelaide, SA. This is a part-time role, offering flexible hours and the opportunity to work on a variety of building projects within the local community.
What you'll be doing
- Undertaking general building maintenance and repair work, including carpentry, plumbing, small brickie jobs, small concrete works, plasterboard works and much more tasks
- Liaising with clients to understand their requirements and provide practical solutions
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, meeting relevant building codes and regulations
- Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment, following all health and safety procedures
- Assisting with the installation and assembly of new building components and fixtures
- Providing support and guidance to junior team members as required
What we're looking for
- Relevant carpentry trade qualification or demonstrated experience in the building industry
- Strong practical skills and the ability to work with a range of tools and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to find solutions
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors and your work mates
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- A current driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
